How to set up your eSIM on iPhone

Setup takes about two minutes. Your phone needs an internet connection (Wi-Fi is fine) while you do it.

1

Install the eSIM

Open our confirmation email and tap “Activate on iPhone” — or scan the QR code with your camera. Your phone handles the rest; it can take a few minutes.

2

Label the card (optional)

When iOS asks you to label your plans, tap “Business” and rename it to “Travel” — that way you always recognise the card.

3

Choose Primary in the next steps

In the menus that follow (Default Line, iMessage & FaceTime, Cellular Data), choose “Primary”. Your main number keeps working normally while you are still at home — you switch to Travel when you depart.

4

Turn on Data Roaming for the Travel card

Go to Settings → Cellular → Travel and turn on “Data Roaming”. This is the most important step — without it, data will not work abroad.

5

When you depart

Switch your main SIM off (Settings → Cellular → your main line → “Turn On This Line” off) to avoid charges from your carrier. Your phone then switches to the Travel card automatically. If you want to keep your number active for SMS and calls: instead, turn off “Data Roaming” on your main SIM and select Travel under “Cellular Data” — but note that calls and SMS may still generate charges from your carrier.

6

When you land

Data connects automatically. Your plan does not start counting until you first use it.

Good to know: If your plan also covers the country you are in before departure (e.g. a regional plan), keep the Travel line switched off until you land — otherwise the validity could start early.
