Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about eSIM
General
What is an eSIM?
eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card built into your phone. You can activate it by scanning a QR code or using an iOS Tap link, without needing a physical SIM card.
How does it work?
You buy a plan on our website, receive a QR code via email, scan it with your phone, and you are ready to use the data plan in the destination country.
Does my phone support eSIM?
Most recent phones support eSIM, including iPhone XS/XR and newer, Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer. See the full list on the "Supported Phones" page.
Purchase and Pricing
What is included in the price?
The price includes everything: data plan, eSIM activation, and technical support. No hidden fees, no roaming charges.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via a secure payment service.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If the eSIM does not work due to technical reasons on our end, we offer a full refund. If the QR code has not been activated, you can request a refund within 14 days.
Activation and Usage
When does the validity period start?
Validity starts when you activate the eSIM and connect to the network in the destination country for the first time. You can buy it ahead of time and activate it upon arrival.
What happens if I use all my data?
When data runs out, the connection stops. You can buy a new plan at any time. We send a notification when 80% of data is used.
Can I top up the same eSIM?
This depends on the plan. Some plans allow top-ups, others require a new plan. We will make this clearer in the future.
Can I make calls and send SMS?
No, our plans are data-only. You can use WhatsApp, FaceTime, Skype, or other internet apps to call and text.
Does eSIM work on multiple phones?
No, each eSIM is bound to one phone. If you need eSIMs for multiple phones, you need to buy a separate plan for each.
Can I use eSIM with my home SIM?
Yes! Most recent phones support Dual SIM. You can keep your home SIM active for calls and SMS, and use the eSIM for data abroad.
Technical Issues
Do I need to remove my physical SIM?
No! You can keep your physical SIM in your phone and use eSIM alongside it. Most recent phones support Dual SIM.
How do I know how much data is left?
You can check data usage in your phone settings. We will also provide a web portal where you can see eSIM status.
What if my phone is lost or damaged?
Unfortunately, an eSIM cannot be transferred to a new phone after activation. You will need to buy a new plan.
Can I use eSIM in a hotspot?
Yes, if your phone supports hotspot functionality you can share the connection. Note that this can use data quickly.
Regions and Coverage
In which countries does it work?
We offer plans for 100+ countries worldwide. See the "Packages" page to see all available countries.
Does it work in all cities?
Yes, coverage is the same as local carriers use. If you have coverage with local carriers, the eSIM will work.
Which networks do I connect to?
We partner with major carriers in each country. Your phone often selects the best network automatically.
